Biography

Annise Richard serves as the Associate Director for the Academic Retention and Engagement Center. In this role, Annise provides leadership for various programs and initiatives that prioritize the retention and engagement of underserved populations at the University of Kansas including the Multicultural Scholars Program, Hawk Link, Haskell Exchange Program, OPTIONS and Peer Mentoring. With over 10 years of experience in higher education, Annise has held various roles throughout her career that focuses on the engagement and success of students at institutions including the University of Iowa, Georgia Southern University, Texas State University and Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi. Annise has also taught courses in first-year experience and leadership. Annise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Psychology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and a Masters of Education in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Texas State University.
