“As Director of the Multicultural Scholars Program for the Social Sciences (MSPSS), I am passionate about helping students succeed in attaining both their educational and life goals. MSP scholars enjoy a wide range of benefits ranging from financial scholarships to personalized mentorship and career guidance services. In addition, MSP scholars participate in a number of extra-curricular activities and community events that help them to become informed global citizens.” ~ Abel Chikanda, Associate Professor, Geography and African/African American Studies, Social Science Director

"MSP has been an invaluable source of support for me at KU. The program has helped me navigate the various foundational aspects of college life and connected me with a network of diverse students from many different walks of life. Perhaps one of the most valuable parts of the program for me has been the sense of community I feel." ~ Courtland Triplett, MSP graduate
