Biography

Hira Hamirani serves as the MSP Director, in the School of Business. Hamirani earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and industrial organizational psychology in 2020 and graduated with her MBA this past May (2021) from Maryville University in St. Louis. During her five years at Maryville, Hamirani was involved in many programs and organizations such as the Multicultural Scholars Program, Delta Epsilon Sigma and student government, and served as a student coordinator for the Center of Student Engagement as well as the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. While working on her masters, Hamirani served as a graduate assistant for the Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance, where she worked on programming and initiatives to provide a safer campus and educate students on a number of different topics such as Title IX, healthy relationships, and how it impacts different communities.

Throughout her time at the university, she was involved in programs with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) specifically their Undergraduate Fellowship Program (NUFP) and their Graduate Associate Program (GAP). Throughout both programs, Hamirani was exposed to different sectors of higher education and connected with professionals in higher education globally and peers at a national level. Someone who identifies herself as a teacher and learner, Hamirani has also been serving as a homeschooling teacher for five years teaching grades 4th-8th with the Darul Quran Foundation, an Islamic institute affiliated with her mosque community. Her passion is to continue working with students at different capacities and in diverse settings to help them accomplish their goals and find success.
